# Guided IDDSI food and drink tests

Canonical: [https://followyourswallow.com/tests](https://followyourswallow.com/tests)

Use the official IDDSI testing methods as guided tools. Test every batch at serving temperature because ingredients, preparation, temperature, and standing time can change the result.

## Choose a test

- [10 mL syringe flow test](https://followyourswallow.com/tests/flow): for drinks that may behave like Levels 0 through 3.
- [Fork and spoon tests](https://followyourswallow.com/tests/fork-spoon): fork drip, spoon tilt, and fork pressure checks for purees and foods.

## Safety

These tools describe how the serving behaves. They do not prescribe a level or change a care plan. Use only the food and drink levels prescribed by the person's qualified clinician. Test the actual serving before it is eaten or drunk.
