Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect as little as possible. Browsing requires no account. Your personalization (the prescribed level, who you’re caring for, your test log) is stored on your device, not on our servers. We never sell data, and we do not use analytics for advertising.
What we store on your device
If you set up personalization, your browser’s local storage holds: your relationship to the person you care for, the prescribed IDDSI levels you entered, and your recent flow-test results. Clearing your browser data removes all of it. None of this is transmitted to us.
What we collect on our servers
- Email and pilot signups: if you join a product list, we store the name and email address you provide. A clinician pilot request can also include credentials, work setting, approximate caseload, workflow priority, and payer mix. Do not submit patient information. We use these details only to evaluate and contact people about the requested pilot or product.
- Standard server logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (IP, requested page) for security and reliability.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand, in aggregate, which pages and tools help people most. Google Analytics may set a cookie holding a random device identifier and receives that identifier along with your IP address and the pages you visit.
Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and reconstructed sessions based on page visits, clicks, taps, scrolling, and navigation. It may receive your IP address, page URL, and browser and device information. We explicitly deny advertising storage, and the entire visible site is marked for Clarity masking. That means page text, form contents, and personalized values are masked in the browser rather than uploaded to Clarity. Clarity generally retains playback data for 30 days and aggregated click and heatmap data for up to nine months. Microsoft’s handling of Clarity data is also governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We record that an action happened, never its clinical content. The events we send are: a level was selected, setup was completed, a flow test was completed, a barcode was scanned (and whether it matched), a verification was requested, a product or pilot signup succeeded, the fictional Care Circle demo was explored, the Google Preferred Sources button was clicked, or a read-only browser-agent navigation tool was used. None of them carry the prescribed IDDSI levels, any test result, or any scanned product. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, prescribed levels, test results, scanned product codes, or local-storage values to analytics. We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not sell the data. A standard cookie or tracker blocker can stop analytics, and the site works identically without it.
Google Preferred Sources
The site loads Google’s Preferred Sources library so you can choose Follow Your Swallow as a preferred source without leaving the page. Loading the library may share standard technical information with Google, such as your IP address, browser information, and the page you are visiting. If the library is unavailable, the button opens Google’s source preferences page instead. Your selection is managed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
What we deliberately avoid
No advertising pixels, no social-media trackers, no analytics identifiers tied to an account, and no sale of personal information. Your prescribed level, flow-test history, and caregiver personalization remain stored only on your device.
